The Spanish Grand Prix was undoubtedly one to forget for Ferrari, but the Italians put in a good performance in the pit lane. The Maranello formation not only recorded the two quickest pit stops of the race, they even took the lead from Red Bull Racing. They fitted Sergio Perez with new tires in Australia in 2.27 seconds, but Ferrari was able to make something of it with Charles Leclerc in Spain. The Monegask was put back on the road in 2.23 seconds. Teammate Carlos Sainz got new tires ten laps later in 2.37 seconds. Red Bull finished in the top five twice. Alpine rider Esteban Ocon got new rubber on lap 52 in 2.52 seconds.

In the DHL Fastest Pitstop Award ranking, McLaren remains at the top by a margin. The British formation finished sixth in Spain with a best time of “just” 2.55 seconds when Lando Norris stopped. Scoring works like an F1 race, with 25 points for the fastest stop. Only the fastest stop per driver will be considered. McLaren leads the dance with 172 points, followed by Red Bull with 161.
